Samuel Hurlburt papers, ca. 1792-1953.

A collection of papers including bills and receipts, correspondence, deeds, military commissions, and newspaper clippings. While most of the items are contemporary to the 19th century, the newspaper clippings are from as late as 1953. A small account book records dress making items. The receipts cover a variety of taxes, household goods, and larger items such as a carriage. Much of the correspondence was sent to Mrs. Elizabeth Hurlburt, Samuel's wife. The couple lived in West Hartford, Connecticut.
